a grassroots revolution

our front yard before the food revolution

Welcome to eat your lawn.

Please note that we do not actually advocate eating your lawn.  It tastes green, but the culinary thrill ends there.

What we do advocate is something different; replacing that lawn that hogs water and guzzels chemical fertilizer with something much more delightful – food.

This is the story of our family’s journey from a bland and boring nothing-but-lawn to an edible eden that has not only brought to our table a variety of things much more delectable than sod, but also a sense of community, immense pleasure and the knowledge that we are making some kind of small but meaningful difference – one front-yard tomato plant at a time.

eat your lawn: a grassroots revolution.  dig in and pig out.  sod the grass – plant veg instead!
